Republic of Korea - Draft revision for Supplier Conformation criteria for Leather Products for Children, Textile Products for Children

Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) has issued a draft revision for supplier conformation criteria forleather products for children, textile products for childrennotice has been revised as follows:

·   Electrical safety requirements for leather products for children including Li-ion battery are added

·   Electrical safety requirements for textile products for children including Li-ion battery and safety requirement for nonylphenol and nonylphenol ethoxylate are added

According to the Supplier Conformation System, manufacturers or importers should indicate labelling of safety or quality if their products are subject to Supplier Conformation Mark.

Proposed date of adoption: December 2016 or later

Proposed date of entry into force: December 2016 or later

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
