Vietnam - QCVN 32:2016/BGTVT National technical regulation on safety glazing equipped on vehicles

Ministry of Transport has issued draft technical regulation specifies technical requirements and testing methods for safety glazing materials intended for installation as windscreens or other panes, or as partitioning, on power-driven vehicles and their trailers.

This Regulation does not concern the type of glass used in all kinds of lights, signal lights and the instrument panel, all kinds of bulletproof glass, protective glass, and other materials with glass.

This Regulation does not concern double windows.

This draft technical regulation applies to those who manufacture, assemble and import safety glazing and organizations and individuals involved in testing, inspection and certification for the quality, the safety of safety glazing.

QCVN 32:2016/BGTVT shall replace QCVN 32:2011/BGTVT National technical regulation on Safety glazing equipped on vehicle.

Proposed date of adoption: 5 December 2016

Proposed date of entry into force: 1 January 2017

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
