South Africa - Compulsory Specification for Lampholders (VC 8011)

NRCS (National Regulator for Compulsory Specification) has issued published Compulsory Specification for Lampholders (VC 8011). This compulsory specification covers safety requirements of lampholders and lampholders adapters.

The scope of this compulsory specification includes:

·      Edison screw lampholder,

·      Bayonet lampholders, and

·      Lampholders adapters

Proposed date of adoption: 30 August 2016

Proposed date of entry into force: 2 January 2017

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
