Vietnam - Draft Decree on Alcohol Trading Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued draft Decree prescribes alcohol trading activities, including: production, import, distribution, wholesale and retail of alcohol; the sale of alcohol for on-site consumption. This draft Decree does not apply to: a) Export, temporary import for re-export, temporary export for re-import, tranship, transit; b) Alcohol import for sale at duty-free shops; c) Alcohol imported into nontariff areas, alcohol trading among nontariff areas; alcohol trading activities in nontariff areas, including storing in bonded warehouse; d) Imported alcohol in forms of luggage, gifts, samples within duty-free limit under regulation of Government and Prime Minister. This draft Decree, as soon as it enters into force, shall replace Decree No. 94/2012/ND-CP dated 12 November 2012 on alcohol production and trading, which was previously notified by G/TBT/N/VNM/19 of 1 August 2012 and G/TBT/N/VNM/19/Add.1 of 1 March 2013. Licenses and certificates issued under Decree No. 94/2012/ND-CP, if still in their validity period, are not required to be renewed. Otherwise, renewal must be done under the new proposed Decree.
