Malaysia – Require mandatory compliance with Standard MS IEC 60035-1:2005 for sale of electric heating bag, cushion, pillow, pouch or pad

Energy Commissionhas issued notification on electric heating bag, cushion, pillow, pouch or pad. This notification prohibit entry, manufacturing, display, advertising and sale of electric heating bag, cushion, pillow, pouch or pad unless the equipment meets the Standard MS IEC 60035-1:2005.

Proposed date of entry into force: 23 October 2015

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
