Canada - Proposed Maximum Residue Limit: Spinosad (PMRL2016-44)

Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), Health Canada has notified notified document PMRL2016-44 is to consult on the listed domestic maximum residue limits (MRLs) for spinosad that have been proposed by Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA).

¹ppm = parts per million

²This MRL of 1.0 is proposed to replace the MRL of 0.2 ppm currently established for residues of spinosad in/on sweet cherries and tart cherries.

MRLs are proposed for each commodity included in the listed crop groupings in accordance with the Residue Chemistry Crop Groups webpage (http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/cps-spc/pest/part/protect-proteger/food-nourriture/rccg-gcpcr-eng.php) in the Pesticides and Pest Management section of Health Canada's website.

Proposed date of adoption : Normally within four to five months from the posting of the Proposed MRL document on the Health Canada website.

Proposed date of entry into force: [ ] Six months from date of publication, and/or : On the date the measure is adopted.

Final date for comments: [ ] Sixty days from the date of circulation of the notification and/or : 25 October 2016
