Kenya - KS 2650:2016 Specification for Aerial Bundled Conductor Systems

Kenya Bureau of Standards has issued notification covers cores consisting of standard conductors that are insulated with crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) and that are intended for use in aerial bundled conductor ABC) systems for overhead single-phase and three-phase electricity distribution operating up to 600/1 000 V. It covers supporting cores of stranded aluminium alloy that are insulated with XLPE intended for use as strain-bearing neutral conductors in ABC systems; and cores consisting of stranded aluminium or hard-drawn copper conductors that are insulated with XLPE for use as service connection cables.

Proposed date of entry into force: Upon declaration as mandatory by the Cabinet Secretary, State Department of Industrialization and Enterprise Development
