Czech Republic - Draft decree on requirements for assurance of quality and technical safety and assessment and verification of conformity of selected equipment

State Office for Nuclear Safety has issued draft implementing decree on requirements for assurance of quality and technical safety and assessment and verification of conformity of selected equipment.Based on the authorising provisions in the new Atomic Act, the draft implementing decree governs:

a)     The content of the list of selected equipment;

b)  The quality assurance scope and method for the design, manufacturing, assembly, procurement, commissioning, and operation of selected equipment;

c)      The types of quality assurance records for selected equipment, and how they are kept;

d)      Technical requirements for selected equipment and parts of selected equipment;

e)   Requirements for ensuring compliance of selected equipment and parts of selected equipment with technical requirements;

f)       Requirements for documentation on ensuring compliance of selected equipment and parts of selected equipment with technical requirements;

g)      The scope of and procedures for assessing conformity of selected equipment with technical requirements;

h)      Requirements for documenting the assessment of conformity of selected equipment with technical requirements;

i)      Specific procedures that may be applied to assess the conformity of selected equipment with technical requirements;

j)     The scope of and method for verifying conformity of selected equipment in use with technical requirements;

the method for documenting verification of conformity of selected equipment in use with technical requirements and the content of this documentation.

Proposed date of adoption: Derived from the date of adoption of the new Atomic Act (which is the law authorizing the adoption of the Decree in question), estimated date: 4 months following the notification

Proposed date of entry into force: Derived from the date of entry into force of the new Atomic Act; estimated date: 1 January 2017

Final date for comments: 50 days from notification
