Chile - Protocol establishes the certification procedure exclusively for motor-pumps powered by liquid fuel: Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles, SEC (Electricity and Fuel Board) has notified protocol establishes the certification procedure exclusively for motor-pumps powered by liquid fuel. For the purpose of this Protocol, "motor-pumps" means: "pumps for liquids, fitted with an internal combustion engine, including transmission components, base panels and any auxiliary equipment". Auxiliary equipment is defined as the components or sub-assemblies which are fitted as part of the motor-pump, and which are necessary for the functioning of the motor-pump. This Protocol does not apply to the following products: a) Motor-pumps for medical use which enter into direct contact with patients b) Motor-pumps that are specially designed and made available for nuclear applications c) Motor-pumps for use on vessels or mobile offshore units d) Motor-pumps that are specially designed for use by the armed forces or the security forces Final date for comments: 60 days from the date of notification. |
