Republic of Korea - Regulation on Energy Efficiency Management Equipment:

Energy Efficiency Management Division, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has issued notification regarding regulation on Energy Efficiency Management Equipment for TVs & refrigerators. Regulation includes following ;

a)         Scope expansion of a designated item: TVs

b)         Testing method modification: washing machines, gas water heaters

Increase of efficiency standard and Kimchi refrigerators, TVs

Proposed date of adoption: 14 July 2016

Proposed date of entry into force: 1 January 2017

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
