Uganda - Draft specification for Bathing bars 

Uganda National Bureau of Standards has issued notification on draft standard for Bathing bars, which specifies requirements, sampling and test methods for bathing bars. This standard applies to bathing bars supplied in the form of bars/cakes and produced from vegetable or animal oils or fats, fatty acids, or from a blend of all or part of these materials, with or without the addition of rosins or non-soapy surfactants. The standard sets minimum requirements for performance and safety characteristics of bathing bar.

Proposed date of adoption: December 2016

Proposed date of entry into force: Upon declaration as mandatory by the Minister for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives

Final date for comments: 5 September 2016
