Indonesia - Draft Decree on Mandatory Implementation of Indonesian National Standard for Luminaires

Directorate General of Electricity, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has issued draft Decree of the the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources on Mandatory Implementation of Indonesian National Standard for Luminaires. The Decree requires that the Industrial businesses which produce, import and trade in luminaries must apply SNI requirements and shall have Products Certificates issued by conformity assessment bodies accredited by KAN (National Accreditation Body of Indonesia) or designated by Directorate General of Electricity, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The luminaries which are traded in the domestic market both originated domestically and imported and had Products Certificate shall put the SNI mark on the products. The Product Certificate will only be valid for 3 (three) years

Proposed date of entry into force: To be confirmed

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
