Israel - Revision of the Mandatory Standard SI 844, dealing with non-refillable cartridges for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)

To protect of human health or safety, Israel WTO-TBT Enquiry Point has issued notification on revision of the Mandatory Standard SI 844, dealing with non-refillable cartridges for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). This draft standard revision adopts both the European Standard EN 417: March 2012 and the American 49 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Chapter I (10-1-04 Edition) Part 178 – § 178.65 Specification 39, regarding non-refillable cartridges for LPG, and allows compliance with either. The major differences between the old version and this new revised draft standard are due to the changes introduced in the new editions of the adopted standards. In addition the standard's Hebrew section includes detailed requirements for Hebrew marking.

Proposed date of entry into force: Generally 60 days after publication in Israel Official Gazette, Section of Government Notices

If the Proposal/Notification/Regulation will affect your International Business please send us your representation with facts and figures, so that these can be taken up suitably.
