EU – Regulation on the use of paraffin oil for coating eggs to control the population size of nesting birds

To protect public health and of the environment and Harmonisation of the EU market on biocidal products, European commission has issued draft implementing Decision states that paraffin oil used for coating eggs in order to control the population size of nesting birds, does not meet the definition of a biocidal product in Regulation (EU) No 528/2012.
