USA - Establishes and amends rules pertaining to packaging and pricing of food and nonfood products

Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures Division, State of Ohio [1146] has issued notification on establishing and amends rules pertaining to packaging and pricing of food and nonfood products. The rules in this package amplify the statutory authority of the Ohio Department of Agriculture (Department) to prescribe the appropriate term or unit of weight or measure to be used for labeling, packaging, and pricing a specific product. These rules protect Ohio consumers by ensuring that food and non-food products sold in Ohio are accurately and adequately packaged and priced. 901:6-7-01 is a proposed new rule that establishes the definitions used in Chapter 9:6-7 of the Administrative Code.
