Egypt – Mandatory standards ES 904/2015 for Vacuum cleaner

Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality has issued notification mandating that the producers and importers must abide by ES 904/2015, the earlier version of which was already mandated. Producers and importers are given a transitional period of six months.

This standard applies to vacuum cleaners and water- suction cleaning appliances. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with IEC 60335-2-2.

Proposed date of entry into force: 6 November 2015
