Kenya – Specific requirements for Bio -Fertilizers (HS: 31):

ForProtection of human health or safety, prevention of deceptive practices and consumer protection, Kenya Bureau of Standards has specifies requirements for bio-fertilizers. It does not cover manures and plant growth promoters. Bio-fertilizerare products containing living organisms which colonize the rhizosphere or the interior of the plant and promote growth by increasing the supply or availability of primary nutrients and/or growth stimulus to the target crop, when applied to seed, plant surfaces, or soil. They may be formulated in different types of inorganic and organic carriers. 

Proposed date of entry into force: Upon declaration as manadatory by the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Industrialization and Investment

Final date for comments: 5 April 2016

Above all notification will be adopt in the month of June 2016
