Kenya – Specific requirements for Fruits and derived products:

Kenya Bureau of Standards has issued notification on specific requirementsfor Fruits and derived products with respect to legal compliance, the responsible procurement of inputs, safe production, handling and marketing of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. It applies to all players in the industry including but not limited to growers, propagators, plant breeders, seed merchants, consolidators, transporters, shippers and cargo handlers.

This code stipulates the hygienic and safety requirements during the production, handling and marketing of fruits and vegetables.
