Japan - Standards revision of use of carbon dioxide as PH Regulator in Fish Products:

 
Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), Japan has issued a notification on revising the standards to allow the use of carbon dioxide as a pH regulator for sodium hypochlorite used as a disinfectant, during processing of fresh fish and shellfish to be eaten raw, oysters to be eaten raw, and frozen foods.

The date of enforcement has not been finalised but MHLW has requested to send your comments as soon as possible at enquiry@mofa.go.jp
