Japan - Revision of MRLs for Thiometon pesticide:

Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), Japan has issued a notification on the revision of pesticides MRL for Thiometon, which may affect products such as Meat and edible meat offal, Dairy produce, birds’’ eggs and natural honey, Products of animal origin, Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers, Edible fruits and nuts, peel of citrus/melons, Coffee, tea, mate and spices, Cereals, Oleaginous fruits, miscellaneous grains, seeds and fruits, Animal or vegetable fats and oils.
Thiometon pesticide is registered in India and widely used in the above listed products. The date of enforcement has not been finalised but MHLW has requested to send your comments before 18 April 2016 at enquiry@mofa.go.jp.  
MHLW is also issued notification to revise pesticides MRL of 4-Aminopyridine, Chlorobenzilate, Phenmedipham, Tulathromycin, Dinoseb, Thifensulfuron, Sodium trichloroacetic acid (Sodium TCA) and Ipronidazole.  You can send your comments on the notification on enquiry@mofa.go.jp
