 Alerts

EU proposes to ban triasulfuron widely used in barley, bermudagrass, wheat, oat, rye etc.:

EU has issued a TBT notification on non-approval of pesticide Triasulfuron. This pesticide is registered in India. It is widely used in barley, bermudagrass, wheat, oat and rye for weeds. Triasulfuron is authorized for use in plant products in other countries including USA, Japan, Canada and Australia.

This draft regulation issued by EU provides that the approval of the active substance triasulfuron is not renewed in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009. Henceforth, the existing authorised plant protection products containing triasulfuron will be withdrawn from the market.

If the Proposal/Notification/Regulation will affect your International Business please send us your representation with facts and figures before 20 February 2016, so that these can be taken up suitably.
