Philippines proposed Philippine National Standards- Fresh and Quick Frozen Raw Scallops Products

Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards proposed standard applies to scallops species of the Pectinidae family in the following product categories: (i) "Fresh or Quick Frozen Scallop Meat", which is the scallop adductor muscle meat; (ii) "Fresh or Quick Frozen Roe-on Scallop Meat", which is the scallop adductor muscle meat and attached roe (with or without shell); and (iii) "Quick Frozen Scallop Meat", or "Quick Frozen Roe-on Scallop Meat", with added water and/or solutions of water and phosphates. Products covered by this standard may be intended for direct consumption or for further processing.
