Uganda issues Specification of Deodorants and antiperspirants

The Uganda Standard specifies the requirements, sampling and test methods for deodorants and antiperspirants. This standard does not apply to the medicated deodorants and antiperspirants, which claim therapeutic value.

Products covered: Pre-shave, shaving or after-shave preparations, personal deodorants, bath preparations, depilatories and other perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations, not elsewhere specified or included; prepared room deodorizers, whether or not perfumed or having disinfectant properties. Proposed date of adoption: March 2018

Proposed date of entry into force: Upon declaration as mandatory by the Minister for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
