South Korea amending technical regulation for lithium secondary battery safety

Korean Agency for Technology and Standards says current technical regulation for lithium secondary battery of Korea has adopted IEC 62133 as it is. However, this amendment of the technical regulation additionally requires an over-charging test (cell), vibration (battery pack), and mechanical shock (battery pack) test items for lithium secondary batteries used in smartphones, notebooks and tablet PCs.
