Saudi Food and Drug Authority issues Technical Regulation for "Vegetable Fat Spreads and Blended Spreads".

The technical regulation applies to vegetable fats and fat mixtures containing: fat content of not less than 10% and not more than 90%. This regulation does not apply to: i) milk-derived fat and/or milk products to which other substances necessary for manufacture are added; and ii) products with a fat content less than 10% and higher than 90% in butter and dairy fats.
