Vietnam - Proposed national technical regulation for Clothing to protect against heat and flame

Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs proposed technical regulation specifies work safety requirements for functional requirements for costumes including leg protectors, hoods and knee-high boots associated with protective clothing made of flexible materials and designed to protect the wearer's body from heat and/or fire, not to mention hands. This technical regulation does not apply to protective clothing used in firefighting and clothing used during welding and casting.

This draft technical regulation regulation applies to:

·         Organizations and individuals who produce, import, make available and use protection clothing – clothing to protect against heat and flame

·         Good quality inspection bodies, state management authorities and other relevant organizations and individuals.
