Japan announced partial amendment to the Safety Regulations of Road Trucking Vehicles Act

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has issued notification on Partial Amendment of announcements that provides the details of the Safety Regulations of Road Trucking Vehicles Act.  As per amendment Protector seats shall be mounted near by the emergency exit in order to ensure safe driving of infant-carrying vehicle

Products covered : Motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver. (HS 8702), Motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than those of heading 87.02), including station wagons and racing cars. (HS 8703), Motor vehicles for the transport of goods. (HS 8704).

Proposed date of adoption: Early October 2017

Proposed date of entry into force: Early October 2017

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
