Chile Regulates the admission of samples or products without commercial purposes of origin or animal use by means of import permits Agricultural and Livestock Service Regulates the admission of samples or products without commercial purposes of origin or animal use by means of import permits. 1. A sample or product without value or commercial purpose, hereinafter "products", shall be understood as meaning all those who are interned for the following purposes: a) promotional, advertising, tasting or other similar activity in order to demonstrate their characteristics or Properties; (B) for research, testing, laboratory analysis, field testing, demonstration and similar activities; C) veterinary drugs to be attached to the application for registration of pharmaceutical products exclusively for veterinary use or for use when the product was not registered in the country; D) others, as determined by the Service. 2. The product must be presented in conditions that prove that it will not be used for commercial purposes and whose quantity, weight, volume, frequency of imports and characteristics are compatible with this, which will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the Service. 3. The admission of products will be authorized through the issuance of an import permit, after evaluation of the risks associated with it. 4. The application must be presented in the official format that the Service determines, attaching the required background according to the type of product. The format will be available on the SAG website. 5. Once the totality of the antecedents for the issuance of import permit has been presented and the proof of payment has been delivered, the Service must pronounce itself within a period of 10 calendar days. 6. The import permit shall have a validity of 60 calendar days from the date of issue and shall be used only once, unless it is specifically established therein that may be used for more than one occasion. In the case of licenses that are requested periodically, an Extended Permit will be available, which will cover the repeated income of products within the calendar year. 7. The products, after their use, must be destroyed, either by consumption (tasting), scientific tests, incineration, or others. The Service may request the means of verification of the destruction of the remaining products. 8. The following products shall be exempt from import permits: A) Purified nucleic acids; B) Purified antibodies; C) Cytochromes; D) Diluents for semen; E) Enzymes; F) Ferments or lactic cultures; G) Purified gelatin; H) Cell lines; (I) Means of cultivation; J) Plates with inactivated antigens; K) Betapropiolactone; L) Formalin-fixed tissues; M) Fixed histological sections; N) Hydrosaline solutions; (O) Serum and animal plasma for research purposes; P) Trypsin in its different presentations; Q) Products required by the Service for purposes of laboratory testing or other official activities; R) Other products, which are indicated and listed on the SAG website.
