Japan proposed revocation designation of feed additives of Colistin sulfate and Virginiamycin as feed additives

Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) will revoke designation of Colistin sulfate and Virginiamycin since Food Safety Commission of Japan concluded these two feed additives have an adverse effect on human health. Therefore, MAFF will revise the ministerial ordinance related to these feed additives.

Proposed date of publication (dd/mm/yy): To be determined.

Proposed date of entry into force: [ ] Six months from date of publication, and/or (dd/mm/yy): 1 May 2018

Final date for comments: [X] Sixty days from the date of circulation of the notification and/or (dd/mm/yy): 22 September 2017
