China notified performance Requirements and Test Methods of Tire Pressure Monitoring System for Passenger Cars Standardization Administration of China (SAC) has notified standard specifies the performance requirements and test methods of tire pressure monitoring system for passenger cars. This standard applies to vehicles of categories M1. The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) specified in this standard shall be installed according to the following provisions: a)as to the mid-engine passenger cars with aspect ratio equal or less than 0.9, for the vehicles newly applied for type approval, it shall come into force from 1 January 2020, and for the vehicle types in production, it shall come into force from 1 January 2021; b)as to the other vehicles of categories M1, for the vehicles newly applied for type approval, it shall come into force from 1 January 2019, and for the vehicle types in production, it shall come into force from 1 January 2020. Products covered : Completed vehicle and electrical/electronic sub-assembly. Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling- stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS 87). Proposed date of adoption: 90 days after circulation by the WTO Secretariat Proposed date of entry into force: 6 months after adoption Final date for comments: 60 days after circulation by the WTO Secretariat |
