Australia published review report on biosecurity import requirements for Tahitian limes from the Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu, June 2017

Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources proposes pest risk analysis and the proposed measures to achieve the appropriate level of protection for Australia for importation of Tahitian limes from the Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu. The draft report includes:

-        Introduction and discussion of Australia's biosecurity policy framework;

-        Methods for pest risk analysis;

-        Description of typical production practices for Tahitian limes;

-        Pest risk assessments for quarantine pests;

-        Pest risk management;

-        Pest categorisation.
