Brazil - Ordinance establishing mandatory features and technical specifications of signalling and lighting systems and their devices applicable to imported vehicle

National Traffic Council - CONTRAN has issued ordinance establishing mandatory features and technical specifications of signalling and lighting systems and their devices applicable to cars, vans, utility vehicles, vans, trucks, tractors, buses, minibuses, trailers and semi-trailers newly manufactured, national or imported.

It revokes on 1 January 2023, Resolutions CONTRAN: N. 227, 9 February 2007; N. 294, 17 October 2008; N. 383, 2 June 2011; N. 436, of 20 February 2013, and Annex B of Resolution CONTRAN N.561, 15 October 2015.

Products covered :HS Chapter 87 - Vehicles; HS - 8512 Electrical lighting or signalling equipment; for motor vehicles . Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling- stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS 87), Electrical lighting or signalling equipment (excluding articles of heading 85.39), windscreen wipers, defrosters and demisters, of a kind used for cycles or motor vehicles. (HS 8512).
