South Korea - Proposed legislation of "Regulation on the Approving Reliability of Certification, Assurance Agency for Labeling and Advertisement of Cosmetics"

Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has proposed legislation of "Regulation on the Approving Reliability of Certification, Assurance Agency for Labeling and Advertisement of Cosmetics as follows ;

• The proposed regulation establishes subordinate statutes according to the amendment of the Enforcement Rule of the Cosmetics Act.
• The proposed regulation allows labelling and advertisement of certificates such as Halal, Kosher, Vegan, etc. that are issued by internationally recognized accreditation bodies, international organizations, or government agencies, etc.

The proposed regulations allows labelling and advertisement of certificates such as Halal, Kosher, Vegan, etc. that are issued by accreditation bodies which obtained reliability accreditation from designated deliberation council of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
