EU - Amendments to import procedure of ovine, caprine animals, semen of animals and caprine species European Commission, Health and Food Safety Directorate-General issued amendments to the model health certificate for imports of semen of animals of the ovine and caprine species, based on the Regulation (EC) 2016/1396: - to clarify that movement of semen donors from a holding with negligible or controlled risk, to a semen collection centre where they are kept under special conditions, does not compromise the classical scrapie status of the holding and therefore imports into the Union of semen collected from those animals is allowed; - to clarify that meat-and-bone meal should be understood as defined in the Terrestrial Animal Health Code of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), rather than in point 27 of Annex I to Commission Regulation (EC) No 142/2011.
