Indonesia – Proposing Saving Energy Certificate (SNI) and complying with Indonesia National Standard (SNI) must be required for the importation of Electric motor and air conditioner Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has issued draft decree requires that Industrial business which produce, import and trade of electric motor devices & air conditioner must apply SNI IEC 60335-2-40-2009, SNI ISO/IEC 17067:2013, SNI IEC 60034-2-1:2013 (Electric motor), SNI ISO 15502:2008 (air conditioner) and shall have Saving Energy Certificate (SHE) from Certification Bodies accredited by National Accreditation Body of Indonesia (KAN) or another Accreditation Bodies under APLAC/ILAC MRA. The objective is to enhance consumer or human protection and quality of electric utilisation equipment and improve the safety of household electrical installation. Products covered - Electric Motor 2 Phase with capacity -1. 0.375 kW to ≤ 0.75 kW (HS 8501.51), > 0,75 kW to ≤ 0.75 kW (HS 8501.52), Of an output not exceeding 750 W (HS 850151), Of an output exceeding 750 W but not exceeding 75 kW (HS 850152).
