Mozambique - Imposing a temporarily ban on the importation of domestic and their by-product, poultry meat from Brazil Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MASA) has notified that as per the circulation of the document G/SPS/GEN/1545 from Brazil on 22 March 2017 regarding the ongoing investigation under taken by Brazilian Veterinary Authority of the failure in the zoo sanitary inspection and certification of poultry meat, Mozambique is applying a precautionary sanitary measure to prevent the risk of introducing dangerous animal products, by-products imported from Brazil. These measures include Temporary ban on the importation of all meat, meat products, meat derived products, untreated meat products including heat-treated products originating from Brazil; and Consignments of poultry meat shipped from Brazil before 1 September 2016 were permitted Mozambique has taken certain precautionary measures.
