EU – Proposing 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one as an existing active substance for use in biocidal products of product-type 11

European Commission has issued notification on draft regulation approves 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one as an existing active substance for use in biocidal products of product-type 11.

The objective behind this measure is to protection of public health and of the environment and Harmonisation of the EU market on biocidal products.

Proposed date of adoption: End of June 2017

Proposed date of entry into force: 20 days from publication in the Official Journal of the EU (Application from January 2019)

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
