Argentina – Registration with National Register of Chemical Precursors is mandatory for manufactures or importer of tablets and capsules

Ministerio de Seguridad (Ministry of Security) has issued notified that any Natural or legal persons who manufacture, sell, acquire, import, export or store machines for the production of tablets and capsules, must, prior to carrying out any of these activities, register with the National Register of Chemical Precursors.

The above persons must submit, in the form of a sworn statement and under the category "Machine operator", a request for registration, or, where necessary, re-registration in the Register, in accordance with the prescribed forms.

The objective behind this measure is to Control  transactions involving authorized chemical substances and products (chemical precursors) which, because of their properties or ingredients, could serve as a basis for or be used to manufacture narcotics, including procedures and other methods used to this end
