GCC – SASO proposes amendment to Technical Regulation on Motor vehicle - Vehicle identification number (VIN)

Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has proposes amendment to Gulf Technical Regulation No. GSO 1780:2010 specifies requirement of Motor vehicle - Vehicle identification number (VIN). It proposes deletion item No. 4.3 of Technical Regulation No. GSO 1780:2010 and Vehicles with VIN assigned in compliance with ISO standard is deemed to comply with the requirements of this standard."

Proposed date of entry into force: 180 days from date of publication of approved version by GSO Council. 

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
