South Korea proposes to enact the import Health requirements (IHRs) for animal protein feed

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has proposed to enact the "Import Health requirements (IHRs) for animal protein feed" for preventing the introduction of animal diseases from other countries. These conditions are designed to mitigate the risk of contamination of these products with pathogens of infectious animal diseases. Animal protein feed will require to be heat-processed at the approved establishments and the conditions in the implementing IHRs will need to be met.
