China published National Standard Limit of Harmful Substances of Vehicle Coatings State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of the P.R.C.) specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, package and label for substances that are harmful to the human body and the environment in various vehicle coating. In this standard, limitation requirements are put forward for the following harmful substances, including: volatile organic compounds (VOC), four kinds of derivatives of benzene, sum of halohydrocarbons, sum of glycol ethers and esters, four kinds of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cr6+, Hg).
