Colombia declares phytosanitary emergency due to the presence of the disease known as Wilt of the Musaceae by Foc R4T Colombian Agricultural Institute has declared state of phytosanitary emergency in the national territory due to the presence of the disease known as Wilt of the Musaceae by Foc R4T for a term of one (1) year from the entry into force of this resolution. The disease known as Wilt of the Musaceae by Foc R4T can destroy 80% of the banana and banana species, contaminating the fields of cultivation for more than 30 years. Currently, Foc tropical race 4 represents a risk for the production of bananas and bananas in the world, and since its inception, it has spread to countries producing these musaceae in Asia, Oceania and Africa. In Colombia, the symptoms expressed by banana plants of the Cavendish subgroup to the attack of Foc R4T are considered as a suspicious event that forces the activation of an early warning in the country, due to the risk involved in the presence of this pest in Colombia and in the continent American. The presence of the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f was detected as a result of the phytosanitary surveillance exercise carried out in banana production systems. sp. Cuban race 4 tropical (recently classified as Fusarium odoratissimum (Maryani et al., 2019)) in the department of La Guajira, which makes it necessary to take measures to prevent the spread of the pest to other areas of the country, especially in the regions with a banana and banana production system, therefore, the national phytosanitary emergency is declared, establishing a set of phytosanitary measures for its detection, control and management.
