National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO) establishes technical requirements and defines references , fundamental principles and protective measures to safeguard the health and physical integrity of workers and establishes minimum requirements for the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases at the design and use stages of machinery and their manufacture, importation, marketing, exhibition and assignment, in all economic activities.
