South Korea proposing standard and specification of wood products

Korea Forest Service (KFS) proposes Standard and Specification of Wood Products were established in order to enhance the quality of wood products and to establish an order related to its distribution in pursuance of the "Act on the Sustainable Use of woods" Article 20 (public notification of criteria for standard dimensions and quality of wood products and inspection thereof). In the present version of the notification, the standard and specification of 12 wood products, including a sawn timber has been included, and the method for labelling specifications of wood products has also been amended.
