South Korea amending rule of the electrical appliances and consumer products safety control act

Korean Agency for Technology and Standards proposes amending rules to strengthen safety controls as measures to prevent energy storage system fires. These amendments include expanding capacity of the power conversion system for energy storage system from 100kW to 2MW. Specifically, a terminology is changed to increase language clarity. By this change, the energy storage system is replaced by the power conversion system for energy storage system. Additionally, the unit of power rating is also changed from kVAh to MW.
