South Africa proposes regulation on processed Meat products

Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries proposed regulations set minimum compositional standards for the various classes of processed meat products, and prescribe the labelling of such products when presented for sale as well as the control system to ensure compliance to the standards. Food safety issues are excluded from the proposed regulations.
