Chile establishing phytosanitary regulations for the transit of plant products Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero (Agriculture and Livestock Service) determined that it is possible to facilitate trade in respect of consignments in transit that are carried using hermetically-sealed forms of transport, and that such consignments shall not be combined, repackaged or separated, as they present a minimal phytosanitary risk and can be moved without the need for additional phytosanitary safeguard measures. In light of the above, the following amendments have been made to Resolution No. 1.551 of 1998: "The following item shall be added to the list contained in Article 1 of the present Resolution: Goods: (q) Fresh fruit and vegetables, or fruit and vegetables in their natural form with a reduced water content, which are hosts of the Mediterranean fruit fly. Additional declaration or treatment to be included on the phytosanitary certificate: Seal number.
