Chile establishes maximum limits for paralytic shellfish poison

Ministerio de Salud (Ministry of Health) issued Food Health Regulations establishes maximum limits for paralytic shellfish poison (PSP) and amnesic shellfish poison (ASP), and specifies that shellfish must not test positive in bioassays for diarrhetic shellfish poison (DSP). The proposed text maintains the existing limits for PSP and ASP, but provides a breakdown of the toxins that form DSP, establishing a maximum limit for each one.

Proposed date of publication (dd/mm/yy): Approximately 80 days from the date of circulation of the notification.
