Kenya proposed Standards for Paints and varnishes

Kenya Bureau of Standards proposed following:

1) DEAS 926:2018 Varnishes for Interior Surfaces – Specification-

East African Standard specifies the requirement and methods of sampling and test for varnishes used on interior surfaces such as wood, concrete, stones, metals

2) DEAS 928-2:2018 Hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint - Part 2: Specification for road performance-

East Africa Standard prescribes the performance requirement for thermoplastic material which have been melted and applied on road surfaces by spray, screed or extruded.

3) DEAS 927: 2018 Road marking paints – Specification-

East African specifies requirements, methods of sampling and test for solvent-borne and waterborne paints for marking on bituminous or concrete surfaces. It makes provision for white, yellow, black and any other colours as specified.

4) DEAS 929: 2018 Solvent-based paint remover – Specification-

East African Standard specifies requirements for solvent-based paint removers. The paint removers are intended for general use on painted, varnished or lacquered on metal and other appropriate surfaces.
