South Korea proposes revision of electrical appliances and consumer products act

Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) notified that : Plastic products will be subject to Compliance with Safety standards Consumer Products.

Compliance with Safety standards Consumer Products: Manufacturers and importers confirm the consumer products conforms to safety standards. It is self-confirmation without marking of safety confirmation.

Proposed date of adoption: March 2019 or later

Proposed date of entry into force: March 2019 or later

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
